Hater

21 Maret 2010

"Hater/ By Maya Angelou

A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.

They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing

you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man / woman to hit the curb

(if he / she isn't about the right thing)

e) Raise your children without both parents being

in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.

Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be
on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.

Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine

prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your
time to leave this earth, you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my

life and fulfilled 'my' dreams,... Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favor, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at
me...Look at Who is in charge of me...'

Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't become
a HATER!

MAKE UP CLASS

20 Maret 2010

Sonia Sotomayor

 19 Maret 2010

Tahu Sonia Sotomayor? Seorang Supreme Court Judge, Hari ini saya ngoprek-oprek file-file lama saya tentang artikel-artikel yang menarik. Terus saya menemukan artikel tentang Sonia yang saya kutip dari :http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=news/politics&id=6831739 , this article teaches me something I learn from her, ini beberapa fakta tentang dia:

Sonia Sotomayor's ascent to a U.S. Supreme Court nomination began in a Bronx housing project, fed by Nancy Drew, inspired by Perry Mason and encouraged by her hardworking mother.
- Her mother worked two jobs after coming to New York from Puerto Rico, including as a nurse at a methadone clinic after her husband died when Sotomayor was 9. She saved up and bought Sotomayor the only encyclopedia set in the neighborhood.
- She got her first taste of the law as she buried herself in Nancy Drew books, but it was an episode of Perry Mason that provided the defining moment in Sotomayor's childhood. Watching the camera settle on the judge at the end of an episode, she immediately realized "he was the most important player in that room," Sotomayor said in a 1998 interview with The Associated Pre
-By time she was 8 years old, Sotomayor had begun insulin injections for juvenile diabetes. After her father died, her mother sometimes worked two jobs, but she always kept a pot of rice and beans on the stove.
-The Manhattan-born Sotomayor's humble upbringing has shaped her personality - vibrant and colorful, and so different from the Bronx projects where she grew up in a home with a drab yellow kitchen.
-She is a food-loving baseball buff as likely to eat a hot dog at a street corner stand as to settle in for a fancy meal at a swanky restaurant.
-Sotomayor, who has a brother who became a doctor, presided over a civil trial in 1996 in which the family of a lawyer who died from AIDS sued the makers of the movie "Philadelphia," contending that Hollywood stole their story. The case was settled, but not before the movie with its dramatic courtroom showdowns was played for the jury in its entirety, prompting Sotomayor to caution: "I don't expect melodrama here. I don't want anybody aspiring to what they see on the screen."
-Sotomayor graduated summa cum laude from Princeton, then became an editor of the Yale Law Journal at Yale Law School. She joined the Manhattan district attorney's office and the board of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund.
-"She is a brilliant person whose intellect is only overshadowed by her humility, which stems from her being an ordinary person. She's an ordinary American," said Carlos Ortiz, the chairman of the Supreme Court Committee in the Hispanic National Bar Association.
"She can transcend all ages," he said. "She is the genuine article. As a result, it reaches everyone. People just get her. For someone who's this smart, intellectual-disciplined and hard working, she still gets it."
Jon O. Newman, a senior judge on the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and a former chief judge, said the appointment was the culmination of "the American dream of sheer talent triumphing and being rewarded."
He added: "She's overcome adversity growing up and made herself an enormous success based on talent and strength of character. And that's the American dream."
Nb: ngga perlu dijabarin kan saya belajar apa dari Sonia? --wh

New Born Baby

18th of March 2010
Today a baby, named Brisa Delana Bawono was born, a daughter of my beloved bestfriend, Purry Bawono. Eventhough I’ve seen new born baby a couple of time, still it makes me wonder on God’S greatness.

Today I learn the gift of life, it’s a gift, not something we have to earn for or pay for, and we can’t even sell it…that’s why each and everyone of us is chosen to live this life with our best effort... it is the best gift we receive in life, our best gift to the Giver is to life our life as best as we could.-WH-

Peopleee: Movie Review

17 Maret 2010
Peopleee:  Movie Review
Hari ini saya baru menemukan lagi dvd Akeelah and the Bee milik saya yang sebelumnya entah hilang kemana.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.

There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

-- Marianne Williamson

And….today I learn that it is not power that corrupt, but it is fear …. As Aung San Suu Kyi once said.--WH

Flirtatious Lucy

16 Maret 2010
Flirtatious Lucy

Flirtatious Lucy knows the how to(s) and how not to(s).
Flirtatious Lucy goes to sport with Mr Sportsman.
Flirtatious Lucy study in the library and made a smart comment on how the brain alchemy works and made Mr BaldHead drool his saliva down his activa.
Flirtatious Lucy joins the freedom demonstration and made a great speech on democracy and she embrace equality …oops She’s up to Mr Politicians whom was well-known for his almost-a-trade-mark-word : “it depends”.
Flirtatious Lucy met a respectful man of a religion, not long after that the religious man goes to questioned upon his beliefs.
Flirtatious Lucy met a man having a gold mine, she takes all the gold, and leave the man feeling happy…somehow Flirtatious Lucy manage to make the man has no consciousness that he’s given his gold to a robber then thank the robber for robbing him.

Flirtatious Lucy is free-spirited, she has no intention to hurt them all… she’s just searching for her Flirtatious someone. Mr Sportsman is strong…but strong doesn’t means strength in moments of sorrow, Mr BaldHead is very smart but after the smartness Mr BaldHead has nothing else to offer, Mr Politician is so fake…and don’t mind the rest of the misters.

Flirtatious Lucy is getting worry; could anybody finally make her attracted to…one day later?

Ps: Dedicated to a bestfriend of mine, a she-wolf.-WH-

French Ship

15 Maret 2010
Past...Present...and future...between the three, I always like best the present... because I only live there.

What i learn today: Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

The Best

 14th of March 2010

Have you ever met someone who always brings the best out of you?
This person can be anyone.
A daughter, a son, a parent, a lover, a friend, a kin.
When he comes, everything is possible.
He’s the opposite of negativity.
He absorb the lack of faith.
He smiles...just smile at most of the time.
He judges not.
He worries not, because he say: everything is under (God’s) control.
He told you: get it together.
He fears not... fears not... and it makes you brave... yes brave.
So... have you ever?

Why Worry?

 13th of March 2010
Why Worry?

Why worry of death? For death is a certain thing. Realizing the fact about death may lead us to the liberation that nothing is to be feared of in this world. Not denying about death takes us to a higher conscious that there is a life after death, realizing life after death leads us into the understanding that life is not about us, it is about our Creator.

Why worry of the world coming to an end? For everything has all been foretold and written, we just have to stay focus on how we will serve while we are in this world.

Why worry? For not even a sheet of our hair shall fall if it is not allowed to fall.

Why worry? For it cannot change yesterday and it cannot control tomorrow.

Why worry? For it cannot change anything.

Why worry? For it is the best way to waste time and energy; worry hampers us from being present, from giving the best that we can; when we do not give our best: we are cheating ourselves and we are cheating the One who gave us the ability to give our best. Each man and woman is given at least a talent through which he or she shall serve God and others, but the talent is in the form of a seed…if we want to reap the sweet fruit, we must do our part, which is to sow it, nurture it, put all our heart and mind and put only our best effort to make it the best giving we could give to this world.

Nothing last in this world, fortune will not, wealth will not, people will not, good name will not, victory will not, failure will not, everything has an end…because this world is not meant to last, it has been written that the world will come to an end… so do not deny it, don’t be reduced by that fact either…for it is written that the life after the end of the world is a greater life, a happy life, a joyous life, a better life. Why worry at all?

WH—in refusal to be reduced by worries
